Welcome Message

From the Congress President of ASGO 2026

Dear colleagues and friends,

It is my great honor to invite our global partners in gynecologic oncology to gather into Shanghai, China in December 2026 to participate the 2026 Annual Meeting of Aian Society of Gynecology Oncology, in conjunction with the 10th APOLLO meeting which focuses on ovarian cancer surgery. I believe that it will be a premier time to share your original studies, advancing cancer therapies in gynecological malignancies.

The meeting is hosted by Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, and supported by Shanghai Society of Gynecologic Oncology, Chinese Society of Gynecologic Oncology, and Fudan University Cancer Center. We are eager to have you to share your unique perspectives and progress coming from Asian countries.

Asia is a region of remarkable diversities in language, culture and medical training system. Over the past decade, China's scientific landscape has advanced rapidly, particularly in clinical and translational research in gynecology oncology. This meeting aims to bridge these diverse experiences and innovations under our slogan: all for patients (AI4Patients). Cervical cancer continues to rank first in incidence and mortality among gynecologic cancers in Asian developing countries. Meanwhile, the incidence of endometrial cancer is rising rapidly across the region. So, primary cancer prevention is the main task to decrease the incidence of cervix cancer and endometrial cancer, such as HPV vaccination and smoking cessation, managing obesity, diabetes, and hypertension. Ovarian cancer, which has the lowest survival among gynecologic malignancies, remains a particularly challenging "cold" tumor. Addressing these issues requires an urgent need on advanced surgical training and technical proficiency to improve patient outcomes.

AI4Patients means ensuring every scientific breakthrough ultimately serves for patient care. Our focus will extend beyond survival rates to careful patients' psychological rehabilitation, their successful return to family, society.

We particularly encourage young doctors and researchers to contribute their original studies, both clinical and translational, to this vital dialogue.

We look forward to seeing you in Shanghai in this December for what promises to be an inspiring and collaborative meeting.

Warmly welcome!
